Cannon runs and maintains an extensive UK transport fleet, with over 100 tractor units in the core fleet and access to another 500 vehicles through its partnership program. The company runs a modern and well-maintained fleet, ensuring that all drivers have a safe and pleasant working environment. The improved reliability of a modern fleet is reflected in the 99% plus service levels that Cannon maintains. The fleet is expanding, but includes the following core vehicles from Scania, Volvo and Renault.
Distribution fleet
Includes 42 tractor units, available for shared user multi-drop work, available in Cannon or client livery. The distribution fleet also includes vans, 7.5 tonne and 18 tonne vehicles, used for limited access deliveries.
Contracted fleet
Includes 64 tractor units, used for existing contracted work and available in customer livery. This fleet is growing and around 20 units in Cannon livery will be added during the later part of 2005 and 2006.
Trailers
Cannon uses a wide range of trailers, all designed to do the most efficient job possible. It is continually reviewing asset usage as it seeks to improve efficiency and drive down costs.
